There will be no cancellation charge if a booking is cancelled before 10 am 2 days before your date of arrival. If the booking is cancelled later, or in the case of a no-show, the first night will be charged.

Portclew House & Cottages does not accept liability for guests’ vehicles left in the car park. Guests using this facility do so at their own risk.

 

Self-Catering Cottages

Booking Terms & Conditions

1. A 25% deposit is payable at the time of booking.  All payments can either be made by cheque and made payable to Portclew Cottages or by Bank Transfer directly into our Bank Account.

2. The balance of your booking is due 4 weeks before your arrival date.  In the absence of payment being received by this date we reserve the right to cancel the reservation and all deposits previously paid may be forfeited.

3. In the event of a cancellation the deposit/full payment is non-refundable unless we are able to re-let the cottage for the period originally booked.

4. The Tenant is responsible for the letting of the cottage as soon as the balance has been paid and should arrange their own cancellation insurance.

5. The number of persons occupying the cottage shall not exceed the numbers of the party stated on the booking form.  We reserve the right to terminate the hire of the cottage without notice and without refund in case of a breach of this condition.

6. The Tenant shall not sublet the cottage or any part thereof during their period of stay.

7. Bookings will not be accepted by persons under the age of 21 years.

8. No smoking is allowed anywhere in the cottage.

9. No pets are allowed anywhere in the cottage.

10. Portclew House & Cottages does not accept liability for guests’ vehicles left in the car park. Guests using this facility do so at their own risk.

11. Guests are not permitted to charge electric vehicles at Portclew Cottages. Charging of electric vehicles is in breach of the holiday rental agreement and Portclew Cottages are not insured for electric vehicle charging.

12.Tenancies commence at 4.00 pm on day of arrival and terminate at 10.00 am on the day of departure.

13. On arrival guests should go straight to their cottage which will be open with the key inside. On departure the key should be left in the cottage.

14.  The Tenant shall leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the let. All recycling and rubbish should be placed in the wheelie bins in the top car park before departure.

15. Before you depart please return all moved furniture to its original position; wash all cutlery and crockery and replace into its cupboard/drawer; leave the grill pan, hob and oven clean and place all used towels into the bath or shower.

16. We do not ask for a damage deposit, but all tenants are legally held responsible for any damage and breakages, which should be reported before leaving the cottage.

17. We cannot be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage which may be sustained by the Tenant, or a member of his party, or visitor, or their property however caused.

18.  Complaints not reported within 72 hours of occupation cannot be entertained.  It is regretted that no correspondence can be entered into in the case of complaints made upon departure or after you return home, when it will surely be appreciated that it is quite impossible for the problems to be corrected or effectively investigated.

19. The owner and their representatives retain the right to enter the cottage at any time.

20. We take every care to ensure the accuracy of the cottage descriptions.  All information is given in good faith and believed to be correct, but we cannot be held responsible for any errors nor for any inconvenience, loss or damage suffered by you as a result of any errors.

21.  We reserve the right to amend prices quoted due to errors and/or omissions or changes in the VAT rate.

22.  All bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided and included in the rent.  All heating and electricity is included in the rent.

23. When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated summary by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This does not form a contract between us. A contract shall only arise when your booking is subsequently confirmed in writing by email.

Failure to comply with these terms and conditions will make you liable to lose your booking or your right to stay in the property without refund.

 

Stay Stay Gift Vouchers

Terms & Conditions

Portclew House & Cottages gift vouchers can be redeemed against accommodation solely at Portclew House & Cottages.

Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash and no value unless redeemed in accordance with these terms and conditions. Vouchers may be combined with other forms of payment and may be used in full or part payment towards accommodation in Portclew House or Portclew Cottages. No change or credit can be given. Vouchers cannot be used to buy other vouchers.

Voucher holders must mention the voucher number at the time of booking and present it on arrival.

Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue and bookings must be made within this period. Vouchers are not replaceable if destroyed or expired. The amount available for redemption on each voucher shall be stated on the voucher.

Portclew House & Cottages are not responsible for vouchers that are lost or stolen and lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced. We reserve the right to cancel a voucher if we believe that the voucher was obtained through fraudulent or unauthorised means.

Gift vouchers ordered will be issued and dispatched within 2 working days.

By purchasing your voucher, you are consenting to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information by Portclew House & Cottages for the purposes of the issue and redemption of your voucher. If providing an email address, you will receive marketing communications for Portclew House & Cottages until such time as you opt out.
